Farewell from Judy Lull

The following letter is from Judy Lull, our former billing and financial aid coordinator, who reluctantly was forced to resign her position here due to her year long battle with cancer.  We know many of you have come to know Judy quite well over the past seven years.  Her genuine, caring, and respectful nature with whoever she came in contact will be truly missed.  Not only was Judy interested in her fellow employees seeing this letter, but she was also concerned about all of the parents she had come to know and wanted this letter included in this communication for all of you to see.  She truly enjoyed all of you!

Dear MPA Community,

It is with a heavy heart that I write this letter to say farewell after the past seven years of working with a great group of dedicated faculty and staff such as yourselves.  When I interviewed for the position I wasn’t sure I would fit into a private school environment because I had never worked at a school before.  Then, through the interview process, I had an opportunity to meet so many wonderful MPA faculty and staff members and knew I would like to work with this great group of hard working people.  (I’m sure the business office was surprised when I accepted the position even after I saw the size of my office!)  I knew my job would be a challenge, but I knew I found the right job at the right time and the right place.

Little did I know that just a few years down the line that I would be facing the biggest challenge of my life – cancer throughout my body.  I am now under hospice care and I assure you that I am comfortable and being well taken care of!  I appreciate your kindness and concern over these past months, sending best wishes, gifts and cards my way.  I was so looking forward to moving into the new space.  But, for now, I must focus on what is more important; spending quality time with my family.

On that note, I want you all to know that it has been a true pleasure working with you over the years and that I have a true peace of mind due to my faith, my family and friends like you.  When you say MPA has a supportive staff and faculty you really mean it!  Please feel free to contact me or leave a message on the voicemail.  I will try my best to return your call.

Warmest regards,

Judy
