The Maplewood Police Department has informed us that a sex offender risk level two has moved in to a neighborhood in the vicinity of the school. Their information indicates that the individual is not wanted by the police and has served the sentence imposed by the court. In making this information available to us, the department stresses that it is “not intended to increase fear in the community.”   Their primary reason for providing us with the information is that, in their words, “an informed public is a safer public.”  More information can be obtained by calling the Maplewood Police at 651.249.2600.

Families should note that MPA has, over the past few years, taken a number of measures to increase the level of overall security in the building including the installation of security cameras. We continue to place a high priority on the safety and security of students, staff and parents.
