Campus Faculty Curriculum Opportunities Why MPA?

Grades 1 - 12

  • Ask three core academic teachers to each complete one of the recommendation forms. Have teachers return recommendation forms directly to the Office of Admission by fax or by mail. If the applicant does not have three academic teachers, ask one adult who is not a relative but knows the applicant well (e.g. music instructor, coach, religious education instructor, etc.) to complete and submit the recommendation form. These forms are held in the strictest confidence and will be used in the admission process only and will not be part of the applicant’s permanent academic file nor shared with the parents/guardians or applicant. Ideally these recommendation forms are being completed after January 1, 2008.
  • Request that a copy of the applicant’s records for the current and the last two academic years be sent to Mounds Park Academy immediately following the first term. A records release form is provided.
  • Plan to have the applicant participate in a day visit, academic assessment and family interview. Applicants are required to visit Mounds Park Academy while school is in session, attending classes as the guest of a current student. The academic assessment may include reading, writing and/or math components. Family interviews, which include parents and/or guardians, will typically be conducted on the same day as the day visit and academic assessment.
Please note: Admission decision letters for new students will be mailed on Friday, April 4, 2008.
