Welcome To MPA MPA Home

Grades 1 - 12 Applicants

  • Ask three core academic teachers to each complete one of the recommendation forms. Have teachers return recommendation forms directly to the Office of Admission by fax or by mail. If the applicant does not have three academic teachers, ask one adult who is not a relative but knows the applicant well (e.g. music instructor, coach, religious education instructor, etc.) to complete and submit the recommendation form. These forms are held in the strictest confidence and will be used in the admission process only and will not be part of the applicant’s permanent academic file nor shared with the parents/guardians or applicant. Ideally these recommendation forms are being completed as soon after January 1, 2012, as possible.
  • Submit a copy of the applicant’s birth certificate.
  • Request that a copy of the applicant’s records for the current and the last two academic years, including any test results be sent to Mounds Park Academy immediately following the first term. A records release form is provided.
  • As part of the application plan to have the applicant participate in a day visit and family interview. Applicants are required to visit Mounds Park Academy while school is in session attending classes as the guest of a current student (this is arranged by MPA). A writing sample is required as part of the application. Family interviews, which include parents and/or guardians, will typically be conducted on the same day as the day visit and in-office writing sample. Family interviews will be conducted by the Director of Admission and Director of the Upper School or Middle School.

Please note: Admission decision letters for new students will be mailed on Thursday, April 5, 2012.
