Tuition and financial aid

Affording an MPA Education

A Mounds Park Academy education is an investment in your child's future. For many families, affording an independent school education takes planning, and most families employ several strategies to keep the costs within reach. In this planning, it is important to keep in mind that it is the student's family who bears primary responsibility for financing an MPA education.

Where does my tuition payment go?

Mounds Park Academy is a not-for-profit organization; therefore, the school’s main source of revenue is tuition. Tuition is used to finance the school’s operating costs including school programs, teachers’ salaries and benefits, and facility maintenance. These elements are the core of the MPA experience. At Mounds Park Academy, students enjoy the benefits of experiential learning in smaller classes taught by highly qualified, passionate teachers. With outstanding programming and top faculty, we are sure that parents and students will find that MPA lives up to its reputation of developing confident, composed, creative, and conscientious global citizens.

Financial Aid at MPA

Mounds Park Academy offers financial aid to qualified applicants to enable students of diverse economic backgrounds to attend MPA. These grants are available to students entering Kindergarten through Grade 12 and do not need to be repaid. MPA believes that the family should be the first resource for funding an independent education. It is our goal to allocate MPA financial aid resources to a diverse community to make an MPA education a reality.

In the 2011-2012 school year, approximately 1 out of every 4 MPA students received financial assistance. MPA provides more than $2 million annually in financial aid support to families.
