 Giving Back to Mounds Park Academy and Getting Involved

There are so many ways to support MPA that go beyond just writing a check.  Alumni work in classrooms, serve as class representatives to the Alumni Board, sit on the MPA Board of Trustees, share information on their post-MPA school choices with current MPA students, and do so much more. The Best of MPA is a silent and live auction that raises funds to support MPA's Annual Fund and financial aid program.  Alumni have donated items either personally or through their businesses.  Many alumni attend the event or have worked on the planning committee.

Homecoming is the day for school spirit and fun competition with several sporting events.  The MPA Alumni Association sponsors the barbeque, with the previous year's Annual Fund Class Challenge Winners serving as "hosts."  And receiving a free lunch for themselves and their family!  All of the money made by food sales at the concessions stand supports the Annual Fund and the MPA Alumni Association Grant Program.

The Alumni-Varsity Basketball Tournament is held over Winter Break.  An informal friendly competition between the current varsity teams and alumni (and a few faculty and staff), the evening is great fun.  Look for this year's date to be announced in the fall.  It is a great time to reconnect.

Join the Annual Fund Phonathon!  Four times a year gather with current parents and fellow alumni, be well fed, and make calls to current parents, alumni, and parents of alumni to say thank you for all they do for MPA whether it be:  volunteering their time or donating to the Annual Fund.  It is a great chance to connect or reconnect with some individuals, update phone numbers and contact information and raise support through pledges to the Annual Fund.
