Middle School Supply Lists

Please bring everything to school on Back-to-School Night to put in lockers.

  • Backpacks, messenger bags, etc. may be used to transport school supplies back and forth, but must stay in locker.
  • Label everything clearly with student name.
  • MPA will purchase assignments notebooks for all students to be billed to parents.

Teachers will assist students with the organization of supplies on the first day of school.

  • 1 binder for all classes:
    • Grade 5: zipped binder (for i-Pad, folders, supplies, etc)
    • Grade 6: zipped, standard 3-ring, zee, or accordion
  • 6 pocket folders:
    • yellow for English and social studies and red for seminar in grade 5
    • yellow for English and red for social studies in grade 6
    • blue for math
    • green for science
    • white for health
    • purple for world language
    • black for choir
  • 1 pencil BAG for binder
  • 1 USB flash drive (1GB or larger)
  • 5 black pens
  • 24 No. 2 pencils
  • 2 colored correcting pens (not blue or black)
  • 2 highlighters
  • 2 glue sticks
  • 2 Sharpie pens
  • 4-6 dry erase markers in different colors
  • 1 package loose-leaf paper
  • 1 box of colored markers and/or colored pencils
  • Spiral notebooks:
    • 2 in grade 5: world language and health
    • 5 in grade 6: English, world language, health, social studies, and math
  • 8 packs of plain 3x5 index cards (Keep one pack at school, the others at home.)
  • 1 small, flexible index card file for French/Spanish
  • I,000 mailing labels (Avery Brand #5160 or equivalent) for French students only
  • 9”x12” spiral bound sketch book
  • 1 box Kleenex
  • 1 binder for all classes: standard 3-ring, zee, or accordion
  • 7 pocket folders, one for each of the following subjects: English, math, social studies, science, world language, seminar (grade 7), health (grade 8), and a black folder for choir.
  • 1 pencil bag (for binder) including pencils, pens, glue, and scissors
  • 1 USB flash drive (1GB or larger)

  • 1 black and 1 blue whiteboard marker for social studies

  • Ruler, protractor, and compass
  • 1 TI-84 graphing calculator (honors algebra, honors geometry, 8th grade algebra) OR scientific calculator (7th grade pre-algebra)
  • 3 ring, 1/2” binder with a divider for 8th grade health
  • 1 box Kleenex
