Section 4A

You finished the season in fine form, with many personal records and notable performances!

Kristen led our girls varsity with arguably her best race of the season. She hung tough early with a tough field, and broke 16 minutes for the second time this season. But the other time was on a much easier course. I am proud of how you ran this race, Kristen!

Sandra and Susie ran personal records. For Susie, this was her last cross country race. It has been wonderful coaching you! Thank you for all your many contributions to our team! I am glad you were able to finish with an outstanding race.

Lauren was not feeling well, but still ran pretty well. Our two 7th grade girls made their varsity debuts today, and they rose to the challenge. Erin ran well enough to earn 19th place on our all time best girls list! Susie ran quite well too. And Louise ran her best ever time on this section course! A nice way for Louise to wrap up her cross country career at MPA! Thanks to you for your commitment and contributions to our team! You will be missed!

Evan led our boys varsity, finishing in 11th place. He was happy with his efforts and so was I. Kethan started fast, taking a shot at the top 10. He stay close for a while, but wound up 22nd, with a personal record. Logan and Ethan ran together for most of the race, with Logan sprinting by Ethan at the finish. Both boys earned personal records.

Ben tried to stay with those speedsters, but fell back a little. He still ran his best ever race. A great way to wrap up his MPA cross country career. Thanks, Ben, for everything you have given to this team. You always brought a positive attitude every day!

Trevor ran his best ever time on this section course and was close to his personal record. Andrew rounded out our varsity boys efforts with a personal record run!

Our junior varsity boys ran very well. William ran his first cross country 5000 meter race, and ran well enough to keep his brother looking over his shoulder. Alex and Benjamin both ran personal records. A nice way to finish the season! John and Isaac made their debuts at 5000 meters and did quite well.

There were many excellent performances today. And with so many young runners returning next year, the future looks bright. There were many seniors in front of Evan, and the teams in front of our boys team also had many seniors. So the window of opportunity is opening. Do the work and next year could be memorable!
