Meet the Team

Yamini Kimmerle – 4th Grade Homeroom Teacher – Lower School Liaison
Yamini received her Bachelors Degree from Colgate University in upstate New York. Upon graduation she moved to San Francisco, and spent several years working as an investment banker and later as an advertising analyst. It was during that time that she became involved with the local community serving as the coordinator of a weekend sports program for at-risk San Francisco youth. That experience encouraged Yamini to move forward with her passion for working with children, and she eventually taught first and third grades at an all boys’ independent school in San Francisco.  Since arriving in the Twin Cities, she has been a member of the Diversity Council and SEED, faculty advisor to Mosaic (multicultural student group), yearbook administrator, member of the Middle School faculty, and for the last two years has been a fourth grade homeroom teacher.

KaTrina Wentzel—Upper School English Teacher– Middle School Liaison

She has taught all ages, from first grade to college students (at Macalester College in St. Paul), but currently happily resides teaching ninth grade English, while also advising journalism, yearbook, and senior performances. KaTrina’s work in diversity has included two years as a diversity coordinator (at MPA), five years as a SEED trainer, and two years as a diversity trainer for the State of Minnesota.
