Securities Gifting Process
Mounds Park Academy maintains an account with RBC Dain Rauscher for the purposes of receiving gifts of securities. Our broker has been instructed to sell the stock as soon as the gift is received. Securities that are publicly traded are valued by us at the mean market value on the date surrendered by the donor. We are not charged a comission fee for stock transactions made through our RBC Dain Rauscher account, just a small SEC and handling fee. This allows us to maximize the potential of stock gifts for our donors.
When making a gift of securities, we ask that you notify Tasslyn Magnusson, Senior Development Officer for Mounds Park Academy at 651-748-5531 or by email at tmagnusson@moundsparkacademy.org. Please tell her the type of stock you are gifting,the approximate number of shares, and the purpose of the gift (to Annual Fund, Endowment) in order to ensure you receive the proper recognition for your gift.
