Let’s take a peek at what a day at MPA could be like…and as one would expect, no day is “typical” when you have students so engaged and involved.

WHAT SPARKS THE LOWER SCHOOL STUDENTS

Sun’s up. The classrooms are humming.

Our Pre-K students are counting how many friends are in class today – in Spanish, French and Hmong. In Kindergarten, the children are taking turns acting out their favorite stories, in front of the class! The first graders have studied the ins and outs of their community and are now building a 3D town. After counting up the proceeds from their class-sponsored garage sale, the second graders are designing their own space ships. Third graders have just wrapped up an experiment in kitchen chemistry and are ready to impress the visiting parents who are here for a morning of Poetry & Pastries. Today each fourth grader has an abacus with a different base system. They are demonstrating these calculating tools to the 8th graders – showing off their math talents and trying to stump their older friends. What fun!
