We're gearing up for the second half of the year, and we're all happy that it finally looks like winter here. Middle School students go outside for recess almost every day, so please be sure that they are equipped with hats, gloves and boots. It's cold out there!
As you may know, the 5th grade Lego League team has advanced to the Minnesota State Championships this Saturday. As part of the competition, they have created a website to share their research, which can be found at http://www.mpalegolords.org. Part of their task is to report on how many people visit their website, so please take a moment to click on the link and see their work. Good luck Saturday, Lego Lords!
We have several parent meetings coming up in the next week or so. The first is Thursday evening, January 18th, for parents of current eighth graders. Please contact the Upper School office for more information. Friday morning we have our Middle School Parents Association Meeting in the Recital Hall from 8:30-9:30 a.m. And next week we will have a meeting for all current fourth grade families (parents and kids) to give them information on the Middle School and fifth grade. This building is never quiet!
And of course, it's concert season! Don't forget to attend the vocal (1/18), band (1/25), and orchestra (1/30) concerts. These are invariably fun and beautiful, and I hope to see you there.
