Next Week - Testing and D.C. Trip

Next week, we will have standardized testing for grades 5-7 (8th graders will have standardized testing later in the school year).  As you may know, MPA administers the ERB, a test specifically designed to give us insight into student academic progress.  We will send test scores home at the end of the school year.  In the meantime, you can learn more about the ERB at their website by clicking here.  Please be sure to have your students eat a good breakfast those days and do your best to have them at school on time.

Also next week, our 7th graders will be traveling to Washington, D.C. on their annual field trip!  The trip is tied closely to their social studies curriculum, giving students a chance to see various Washington, D.C. monuments and sights such as the Gettysburg battlefield.  We'll be leaving on a 6:00 a.m. flight Thursday, April 12th, and returning Monday night, April 16th, truly testing the bond between teachers and their students.  I'd like to give special thanks to an anonymous family that donated money to help support financial aid for the trip, and to those parents and teachers that will be chaperoning.  We're going to have a blast!
