Upcoming Events
As we head toward the end of the school year, I thought it would be helpful to mention a few important dates we have coming up--mark these in your calendars now so you don't miss them!
April 25th and 26th Sweeney Todd: The annual spring musical is exciting (and tough!) this year, as students in grades 7-12 put on Sondheim's challenging play. There are evening performances Friday and Saturday, with a Saturday matinée. Note: Although the musicals are usually good "family" fare, please be aware that this musical deals with older topics and themes, and may not be appropriate for young or highly sensitive children. But it has great songs and the kids are doing a wonderful job, so if you have a chance come see them perform!
May 1st-9th Middle School Art Show: Middle School art will be on display throughout the building, but especially located in the Gallery and main hallway. Be sure to take a few minutes to see the great work the kids have created!
May 1st Vocal Concert: All Middle School choirs will be performing beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the Nicholson Center.
May 2nd 7/8 Dance: Our last dance for seventh and eighth graders for the year (and the last Middle School dance ever for our 8th graders!) will run from 7:00-10:00 p.m. in the cafeteria.
May 6th Eighth Grade Parent Meeting: Randy Comfort, the Upper School Assistant Director, will be speaking with parents in the Recital Hall from 6:00-7:00 p.m. about registration for ninth grade.
May 6th Band Concert: All Middle School bands will be performing beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the Nicholson Center.
May 8th Middle/Upper School Orchestra Concert: All Middle School and Upper School orchestras will be performing beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the Nicholson Center. This is a great opportunity to hear what Middle School orchestra students become in a few years, so come for the Middle Schoolers and stay for the Upper!
