"Expand the school experience, inside and outside the walls of MPA, by purposefully adopting a global focus so that our students are prepared to live and work in an ever more complex technologically interconnected world."
While some may recognize this as one of MPA's strategic goals, as the Middle School Director I see it everyday in our Middle School. In fact, the following activities are just a few RECENT reminders:
Tuesday, October 28, 8th grade students performed multiple mime shows that they created.
Wednesday, October 29, 7th grade students created and participated in a Lewis and Clark Feast.
Thursday, October 30, our entire Middle School participated in the MPA Showcase that highlighted two separate Middle School trips (Yucatan and Quebec) AND our entire Middle School participated in an "Election 2008" assembly hosted by former Congressman Tim Penny and Professor Wy Spano.
Saturday, November 1, two 8th grade students will be participating in the Minnesota State Cross-Country meet.
Monday, November 3, our entire Middle School will assemble to hear the results of our Electoral College-Mini Election.
"Learning how to learn in a variety of environments will convey a key advantage to our graduates in rapidly changing times. Learning how to be ethical, socially-responsible world citizens will allow them to be the leaders of tomorrow." ~From MPA's strategic goal~
I see it everyday in our Middle School!
Tony Reimers
Middle School Director
