The snow is melting, the grass is starting to show, could spring be just around the corner? To help get you in the spirit, the MPA Parents' Association is again sponsoring a Spring Plant Sale fundraiser with a great selection of beautiful annuals and perennials.
We are also offering Gertens gift cards - either for your use or in support of several projects around school. Your purchase of a gift card to support Mrs. Petersen's Lower School Garden (a great chance for the kids to roll up their sleeves and beautify the space near the kindergarten classrooms), the Middle School Science Garden (in need of native grasses and flowers to enhance this area where Middle School students study plant and insect life and have class outdoors), or the Environmental Club (in need of supplies to complete a rainwater garden) would be appreciated greatly. And this year, the Parents' Association will match your gift card purchases for these projects.
Please complete the order forms and return them with your check (made payable to "MPAPA") to your child's homeroom teacher or the box found in the Reception Office. Order forms are due April 9. Please share these forms with neighbors, friends or anyone else you know that enjoys flowers.
The plants will be available for pick-up at MPA on Wednesday, May 19, from 8:15 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m., and Thursday, May 20, from 8:15 a.m. to 10 a.m. Pick-up will be in the custodial garage, which is located "under" the Gallery.
