After a successful first cycle, the call for the second cycle of grants under the Parents Association Grant Program went out this week.  Teachers and staff will receive a copy of the Grant Request Application Form in their mailboxes.  Applications will be due on February 5th, with the awards being made prior to spring break.  Five thousand dollars ($5,000) will be available for awards during this cycle.  Second cycle grants will be funded using monies raised during the Magazine Drive, Recycled Treasures Drive, and Poinsettia Sale.                                                            

The Grant Program supports the education and enrichment of the students of MPA.  This new program is available to teachers and staff in the MPA Community.  Each academic year, the Board of the Parents Association will determine a theme for the Grant Program.  The theme for 2006-2007 is Global Education and Enrichment.  Grants awarded under the Program are funded using monies raised by the Parents Association through its fundraising activities.
