Second Cycle of MPAPA Grants 2007-2008

The MPAPA Board is very pleased to announce that due to successful fundraising efforts, $10,000 will be available for funding grants during the second cycle of the 2007/08 academic year.  The specific schedule for this grant cycle is as follows:

 

     Call for Grants:  January 14, 2008

     Due Date for Grant Applications:  February 11, 2008

     Grand Award Date:  March 10, 2008

 

Faculty and staff are eligible and encouraged to apply for the Parents Association grants.  Both the grant application and the instructions were placed in employee mailboxes.  Extra copies are available in the south reception office.

 

The goal of the grant program is to fund items that support the education and enrichment of MPA students.  Since the program's inception in the fall of 2006, the Parents Association has awarded over $22,000 to the faculty and staff of MPA.  During the first round of the grant program, we made the following awards:

      1.  $5,000 to Karen Rossbach for updated equipment and supplies for the photography program.

      2.  $1,127 to Susan Samuelson for the 9th grade health program.

 

Thank you to all members of the MPA community that participate in the Parents Association fundraisers.  All of the awards made to faculty and staff through the grant program are the direct result of success with the Magazine Drive, the fall and spring plant sales, and Recycled Treasures campaign.  Please contact Lori Tapani (Grant Program Coordinator) at ltapani@wyomingmachine.com with any questions about the program.
