Fall Upper School Vocal Concert
The Fall Upper School Vocal Concert, entitled “Mozart and So Much More” will feature the Men’s Chorale, Women’s Chorale, the New MPA Jazz Choir, the expanded Chamber Choir, and the Concert Choir singing the works of Mozart, Vaughan Williams, Grieg, Gershwin and many others on Thursday, November 16 at 7:30 p.m. Doors to the Nicholson Center will be open to the public by 7:10 p.m.
Your singer should be dressed in concert attire (see below), ready for warm-ups and last minute announcements in the Nicholson Center at the following times:
Jazz Choir members - 6:00 p.m.
Concert and Chamber Choir members - 6:15 p.m.
Men’s and Women’s Chorale members - 6:30 p.m.
If your students sings in one of the Upper School Choirs, the following is expected in terms of Concert Attire:
Choir members will be required to provide their own concert attire for the Upper School Choir Concerts. Men’s Chorale members need long-sleeved white dress shirts with collars and a colorful tie, black or dark blue dress pants (no jeans), dark socks and dress shoes, and a black belt. A sport coat/suit jacket will be needed for the February concert. Women’s Chorale members need a long- sleeved black blouse, black dress pants, and plain black flats or low heels. Concert Choir Men will wear blue robes, white collared shirts, black dress pants, black socks and black shoes. Concert Choir Women will wear blue robes, a black blouse, black dress pants and plain black flats or low heels (no open toes!). Jewelry and makeup should be discrete and kept to a minimum. Concert dress and appearance are components of the student’s overall grade.
