News from the Orchestra Department

Laurel Schwartz (violin/Grade 9), Zachary Schwartz (violin/Grade 8), and Ben Willett (bass/Grade 8) were accepted to be part of the 2008 MNSOTA (Minnesota String & Orchestra Teachers Association) Middle Level Honors Orchestra.

All three students sent in audition tapes in October and chosen out of many to be part of this ensemble.  The Middle Level Honors Orchestra is for students in grades 7-9.  It is an opportunity for the best string players from the state to join for a rehearsal on Friday, February 15th and a performance at the Minnesota Music Educator’s Conference at the Convention Center in Minneapolis on Saturday, February 16, 2008.  The goal is to produce the best possible ensemble with the widest possible representation of schools.

Congratulations to Laurel, Zach and Ben!
