On Tuesday, May 6th, the Middle School Bands will put on their spring concert.   It will feature the 5th Grade Band, the 6th Grade Band, the Middle School Jazz Ensemble and the 7/8 Band.   

As part of the concert, the 7/8 Band will be premiering a brand new work commissioned by the Parent's Association, The Middle School Administration and the Middle School Band Program.   The piece was written by Russell Peterson of Concordia College and is titled "Global Warming."   It is a fascinating work musically depicting rising seas levels, melting polar ice caps, the planet in peril, and even making a difference one person at a time.  
 
Also at this concert will be the second performance of a piece commissioned last year for the 7/8 Band titled "Tub-oda," featuring former Dallas Brass tuba player Deanna Swoboda.

The concert takes place in Nicholson Center at 7:00 p.m. on May 6th.   Please join us for this special event!
