Winter Show - Our Town

Our Town Black Box Theatre
January 25-26 and February 1-2 at 8:00 p.m.

In three acts, Our Town’s actors present daily life, love and marriage, and death occurring from the years 1901 to 1913. The action focuses on the Gibbs and Webb families, with the plot involving the childhood, romance and marriage of George Gibbs and Emily Webb, and the death of Emily in childbirth in 1913. A stage manager sets the scene for each act with the famously bare stage but for a few trellises and ladders.

The stage manager, Sammy Schleipman, interrupts and interacts with characters, enters the action and addresses the audience. Other cast members include Peter Kruse, Nick Campanelli, John Jakway, Jackie Hendrickson, Abby Kohls, Vance Ryan, Carolyn Lasch, Erich Beckert, Maddie Ranum, Sam Anklesaria, Nicholas Neumann-Chun, Christina Berget, Beryl Kaczmarczik, Phillip Colantti, Ross Kigner, Alex Bornstein, Scott Boyd, Andrew Guiang, and Tyler Law. Additional stage managers were Hanna Bartholic, Joshua Meltzer, and Annelise Detlie.

Our Town is a piece of theater that continues to stand the test of time and reminds us all that seemingly unimportant moments in our every day are what makes a life whole.
