Quarter 2 ends Friday, January 12th

Quarter 2 ends Friday, January 12.  School will be closed on Monday, January 15, 2007, celebrating Martin Luther King Day.  On Tuesday, January 13th, PowerSchool will display quarter 3 information only.  Quarter 2 grades and comments will be available online on Wednesday, January 24th, by accessing “grades history.”   

The semester one Upper School Art Exhibit will run January 15th through January 26th in the Gallery.  All students in semester one art courses will have work on display in the show. 

Junior Parents - Mark your calendar for Monday night, January 22, 2007, for the Junior Parent College Counseling Program, from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. in the Recital Hall. Snacks and refreshments will be served at 6:30 p.m., hosted by Phil Trout and Julie Endersbe in the College Counseling office.  The featured speaker for the evening will be Mr. Tom Willoughby, Vice Chancellor for Enrollment at the University of Denver. He will share a national perspective on college admission and offer tips and advice to parents.  With over 25 years in college admission, Mr. Willoughby brings a wealth of experience and resources -- and he's an engaging speaker!!  Parents will be introduced to Family Connection, a web-based college counseling program that MPA students and parents will use throughout the college search process.  Note:  This program is for parents only.  Separate meetings will be held in January with the juniors, in advance of their individual appointments with Mr. Trout, which begin in February. 

The MPA Theatre Arts Department presents, The Persecution and Assassination of Jean Paul MARAT as Performed by the Inmates of the Asylum of Charenton Under the Direction of the Marquis de SADE.  The play is directed by Mona Poehling.  Reservations are recommended and tickets are $7 for students/senior citizens and $9 for adults.  To reserve tickets, call 651.777.2555 ext. 494.  This play is not suitable for grades PreK–7.
