Third Quarter Finals

class="MsoNormal">Your son or daughter will be taking third quarter final exams beginning Friday, March 30th.  Depending upon your child’s schedule, s/he will take between two and three exams.  No regular classes will take place on Monday, April 2nd, or Tuesday, April 3rd.  On Monday and Tuesday, students do not have to be at school until 10 minutes before a test, but there will be no excuses for being late.  Students only need to be at school during times that they are taking exams.  Ninth grade students are to remain on campus between tests if they have two exams on any given day.  Juniors and sophomores may leave campus if they wish.  Lunch will be available from 12:30–12:45 p.m. for students who need to stay on campus after their exams.

Final exams are a chance to see what has been learned over the year.  Final exams count as 20% of the second semester grade.  They may also be an important part of preparation for college/university work.  The tests will be taken at the following times:

Friday, March 30th

World Language exams will be taken during the student’s regularly scheduled class period.

Monday, April 2nd

8:45–10:15 a.m. Science

11:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m.   English

Tuesday, April 3rd

8:45–10:15 a.m. Math

11:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m.   Social Studies

Seniors Only!

Traditionally, seniors have been exempt from taking exams at Mounds Park Academy.  This tradition will be continued – seniors will not need to take formal exams during that time.   There will be no classes on Monday or Tuesday.
