“Get Acquainted Retreat”

Each year, a new group of ninth grade students begin their high school journey with excitement and anticipation.  In preparation for the next four years, they spend the first few weeks getting oriented to life in the Upper School.  In ninth grade seminar, they review our student handbook, including dress code, attendance, laptop rules, dance policies, and our drug and alcohol policy.  Student leaders talk to them about life in the Upper School.  This year, we have 10 new students in this class.  So, last Friday the ninth grade spent the day with their teachers at Central Park in Roseville.  This all-day “Get Acquainted Retreat” is intended to facilitate students getting to know one another in a relaxed setting.  The emphasis was on having fun and enjoying the beautiful outdoors.  Check out the smiling faces of our ninth graders!  We hope that in four years these same smiling faces will be pictured with cap and gowns!
