Congratulations to the MPA Speech Team

Last Friday, 17 MPA students competed in the MSHSL "Class A" State Speech tournament.  MPA was the only Class A school, out of 92 schools, to win 2 championships!  Senior Nancy Dietman was the state champion in Extemporaneous Speaking and Junior Jaya Stenquist was our state champion in Serious Interpretation of Drama.  Along with Nancy and Jaya, 15 other MPA students qualified for and competed at state.  Eight students reached the final rounds and won medals.

Claire Daley - 4th place - Extemporaneous Speaking
Anna Krenkel - 5th place - Great Speeches
Alison Suzukamo - 5th place - Serious Interpretation of Poetry
Andrew Guiang - 6th place - Original Oratory
McKenzie Roese - 6th place - Serious Interpretation of Drama A
