Welcome to the 2008-2009 school year at Mounds Park Academy.  As I begin my first year as Upper School Director, I invite you to join me in a journey of discovery as I come to know the philosophy, the people and the programs that make up this special experience.  As I learn more about MPA, I look forward to comparing notes with you about what we see, feel, and think. I think this is a wonderful place because teachers and parents put students first. They want each student to develop his or her own voice and understanding of this beautiful and conflicted world so that each can contribute to it and thereby lead a meaningful life.

Students, I have no doubt that this is going to be a fun, challenging, and interesting year for each of you.  Parents, I have no doubt that you will find this faculty to be the student-centered, caring, and demanding group it has always been. Faculty, I have no doubt you will once again be blessed with supportive parents, fascinating students, and generous colleagues.  Visitors, I have no doubt that as you come to know this place you, too, will see that the lived experience of this place is the same as the one you see on paper and in pictures.  I can't wait to get started.
