Eleven schools followed with one gold apiece. Pranay Somayajula defended his gold in Extemporaneous Speaking and\u00a0Sarah Ley placed first in Great Speeches. Overall, MPA placed second in the team standings out of 186 schools that competed in Class A speech this year.<\/p>\n<p>All told, MPA had seven medalists:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Pranay Somayajula \u2013 Champion \u2013 Extemporaneous Speaking<\/li>\n<li>Sarah Ley \u2013 Champion \u2013 Great Speeches<\/li>\n<li>Emmett Haak \u2013 2nd Place \u2013 Great Speeches<\/li>\n<li>Misk Khalif \u2013 5th place \u2013 Serious Interpretation of Poetry<\/li>\n<li>Garrett Hollihan \u2013 6th place \u2013 Extemporaneous Speaking<\/li>\n<li>Rayaan Ahmed \u2013 7th place \u2013 Discussion<\/li>\n<li>Charlie Galicich \u2013 7th place \u2013 Humorous Interpretation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>MPA now has 37 Speech Champions in its history. That\u2019s the fifth most among all Minnesota schools, regardless of class.
