Highlights from the girls team included the 4x1600m team of senior Sarah Ley, ninth\u00a0graders Izzy Quam and Katie Dahiya, and seventh\u00a0grader Margo N. placing third\u00a0with a total time of 26:29.41.\u00a0 Margo N. finished in fifth\u00a0place in the 1600m individually with a personal best time of 5:53.35!\u00a0 In the 800m sprint medley, the team of seniors Maya Sayers and Quinn Campbell, junior Catherine Moore, and ninth\u00a0grader Izzy Quam placed second. Their time of 1:59.42 is the third\u00a0fastest in MPA history!<\/p>\n
In the high jump relay, senior Quinn Campbell, junior Gabby Law, and sophomore Aaliyah Kellogg each jumped 4\u20192 to place third as a team. Their total height of 12\u20196 is the third best ever at MPA! The long jump relay, consisting of sophomores Catherine Moore and Annie Portoghese, and ninth\u00a0grader Izzy Quam, totaled 38\u20192.5, eighth\u00a0all time at MPA.\u00a0 In the triple jump relay, junior Gabby Law and ninth\u00a0graders Izzy Quam and Emma Cohen jumped a total of 80\u20192.75, second\u00a0at the meet and seventh\u00a0all time at MPA. Izzy Quam finished in fourth\u00a0place individually with a jump of 29\u201911. In the discus, sophomore Catherine Moore placed fourth\u00a0with a personal best of 74\u20196.<\/p>\n
On the boys side, the 4x1600m of senior Declan Dahlberg, junior Matt Bourne, sophomore Henry Snider, and eighth\u00a0grader Isak N., were IMAC Conference Champions! Their total time of 18:49.71 is the second best all time at MPA. Senior\u00a0Declan Dahlberg, junior Matt Bourne, and sophomore Henry Snider also finished 1-2-3 in the 1600m for a Panthers\u2019 sweep! The 110m hurdle relay team of junior Dylan Dickinson and sophomore Charles Grimes placed third.\u00a0 Dylan placed fifth\u00a0individually and moved into tenth\u00a0place all-time at MPA in that event.\u00a0 Dylan also set a personal best in the 300m hurdles to move up ninth\u00a0all-time in that event.\u00a0 In the 4x200m, the team of senior Ben Yoch and juniors Flynn Opatz, Yahya Madar, and Henry Peterson ran 1:40.07 to move up to ninth\u00a0place on MPA\u2019s all time list. The boys 4x800m team of senior Declan Dahlberg, juniors Matt Bourne, and Henry Peterson, and sophomore Henry Snider, placed second in a time of 9:01.99.\u00a0 The 800m sprint medley team of juniors Tae\u2019Vion Wilkins and Ian Olson, and sophomores Nathan Harvanko and Kailil Schertzing placed fourth\u00a0in a time of 1:42.39, fourth\u00a0best all-time at MPA.<\/p>\n
In the high jump, junior Yahya Madar placed first, with a school record and personal best jump of 6\u20195, which is tied for the third best jump in Minnesota so far this year! In the triple jump relay, the team of juniors Tae\u2019Vion Wilkins, Dylan Dickson, and Flynn Opatz placed second with a total jump of 105\u20193.5, second best all-time at MPA.\u00a0 Tae\u2019Vion Wilkins finished third\u00a0individually with a jump of 37\u20197. In the discus, the team of seniors Sumner Wu and Paul Thompson-Nelson, and sophomore Charlie Galicich placed third, with Sumner recording a personal best throw of 98\u201911 to place fifth\u00a0individually.\u00a0 In the Shot Put, seniors Salman Aden, Paul Thompson-Nelson, and junior Ethan Berning placed third, with Ethan placing fifth\u00a0individually with a distance of 35\u201910, and Salman and Paul both recording personal bests.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
