Our junior high runners got the ball rolling, with every runner recording a personal record!
Bennett led our junior high boys, surging into 4th place to earn a ribbon. William and John O. were close behind in 7th and 8th place. John T. finished 24th to wrap up the team effort. The boys finished 2nd by 1 point to Breck, which had 1st and 2nd places!
Erin led our junior high girls, finishing 3rd. Emma was right behind her in 4th. Both girls earned ribbons. Susie was 7th and Aly was 13th. The girls won the junior high team competition by 2 points over Minnehaha Academy!
Evan led the boys varsity, finishing 9th to earn a medal. Kethan ran close to his best ever time. Logan ran a huge personal record to finish 29th. Ethan ran his best ever race. Ben also recorded a huge personal best. Their efforts resulted in a 4th place finish for our boys team, beating 5th place Providence Academy by 1 point!
Trevor, Andrew, and Alex ran personal records. Benjamin was close to his best time at Battle Creek.
Kristen led our girls varsity, running her second best time of the season. Sandra, Susie, and Lauren ran together the entire race, finishing only seconds apart. Louise ran close to her personal record, but on a much tougher course. This really was her best ever race. The girls team finished 7th.
These were excellent results, the end product of a lot of hard work. We will taper as we prepare for our section meet on Thursday. This will be the race where you run your best times of the season!
