The admission application opens on September 15. The first and best step is to submit the initial online application and your admission team member will reach out to you with next steps promptly following that submission.

For families who choose to apply, the Indexed Tuition application is available. See the Affordability section for detailed information. 

The initial deadline to complete the process of applying for both admission and Indexed Tuition is February 15, 2027.

Applicants who completed the application process by February 15, 2027 receive their admission decisions and enrollment agreements on this date. In addition, if applied for, families are notified of their Indexed Tuition at this time. Families may then login and confirm their enrollment in Clarity with the payment of a $1,500 deposit for domestic students and $5,000 for international students.

Families are encouraged to complete their enrollment contract as soon as possible after making the decision to attend Mounds Park Academy. The onboarding process will begin shortly after and we very much look forward to welcoming your family home!

In grades where space is available, MPA continues to warmly welcome applications. Offers of admission will be made on a rolling basis as applications become complete.

A candidate's application is considered complete when all materials and required steps for admission have been submitted and met.

We require supporting materials in order to assess an applicant's likelihood of success at MPA. This evidence includes prior school records (including grades and standardized test scores), confidential teacher recommendation forms, and a family conversation. Individually administered assessments may be requested by Admission when application materials are inconsistent or incomplete. In addition, writing samples are required for Middle and Upper School admission.

Mounds Park Academy recognizes that intellectual ability alone does not necessarily determine academic success. Interest in MPA and its curriculum, as well as motivation to attend, may often be the determining factors of a student’s performance. Accordingly, the admission committee will consider recommendation forms and the student’s own statements as evidence of intellectual curiosity and enthusiasm for learning.

MPA believes the learning environment for a child is most conducive to success when there is a three-way partnership with the student, his or her family, and the school. The requirements of a college preparatory curriculum are demanding, and students in such a program deserve the strong emotional support, understanding, and encouragement of their parents. In addition, families should actively participate in their child's education (e.g., attending scheduled conferences with faculty and other school meetings affecting their child's educational, developmental and/or emotional growth) and support the mission and policies of the school. The admission committee will review recommendation forms as well as responses to interview questions to determine the history, type, and extent of family involvement.
