Extended Day Program Overview
PreK Panther Club is a DHS licensed, safe and nurturing before and after school program in which children are allowed choices in play areas, arts and crafts, as well as large muscle activities and games. The cost for care starting at 7:30 AM and ending at 5:30 PM is included in the cost of tuition for PreK.
The PreK Panther Club attendance roster is generated each day. Please inform your child’s teacher if your child should stay for PreK Panther Club that day and your child will be added to the attendance list. This helps us make sure we are staffed to remain in ratio at all times. PreK Panther is available on non-school days for an additional charge. Parents must register in advance if childcare is needed non-school days.
The Panther Club program offers children from Kindergarten through 4th grade a fun and safe place to stay before and after school. The program is offered on a drop in as needed basis with no advance registration required. Panther Club includes planned lessons, time for study and homework, science activities, arts and crafts, age appropriate games, indoor and outdoor play, and a daily snack. Panther Club meets in the cafeteria for attendance and later in the Panther Club room (150), but utilizes many of the school facilities, including the gallery, computer lab, playground, gyms, and kitchen. Panther Club is also open on most days school is closed.
The Panther Den program offers students in 5th through 8th grade a fun and safe place to stay after school. The program is offered on a drop in as needed basis with no advance registration required.
