We are so excited to welcome back Ms. Adi Boeder Risner '02, as she will be filling in as the interim admission and communication coordinator! Adi is already a familiar face on campus, having served as a substitute teacher and supported MPA in several other temporary roles. As an alum, current parent, and staff member, she knows MPA from many perspectives and will be a wonderful addition to the team! Get to know Adi below! From what school/organization are you coming? My previous position was with Mounds Park Academy. |

Tell us about your education and past experience.
I hold undergraduate degrees in mathematics and economics from St. Olaf College and a Master of Science in Business Intelligence from the University of Denver’s Daniels College of Business. I spent several years working as a corporate statistician in the health care industry and at 3M before transitioning to nonprofit work at the University of Minnesota Foundation. After stepping away from my professional career to focus on family, I’ve enjoyed finding ways to stay involved in the MPA community. As an alum and a parent of two students, I’ve served as Parents’ Association treasurer, a temporary Lower School assistant, and a substitute teacher. I’m excited to take on the interim admission and communication coordinator role and contribute to the community that has been such a meaningful part of my life.
What did you find appealing about MPA?
What draws me and my family to the school is its strong sense of community and belonging. I love watching my sons grow into the people they are uniquely meant to be, gaining confidence through an educational experience that encourages and supports their individuality. Whenever I'm in the building, I'm reminded of what a privilege it is for students to be part of such a special journey, surrounded by a community that helps them discover who they are and who they can become.
What lasting impact do you plan to have on MPA and its students?
I hope to be remembered as someone who can wear many hats and contribute wherever needed, demonstrating that we don't have to fit into just one role to make a difference. In this role, I hope to support the team in connecting with families who share MPA's vision and values, while helping ensure the office runs smoothly and prospective families feel welcomed into our community.
What’s your big dream?
My dream is to find the balance of meaningful work and family life that allows me to contribute my talents, stay engaged in my community, and be present for the moments that matter most.
What are you passionate about?
Our family is passionate about traveling and making memories together, especially when Disney is involved! We love exploring new places, experiencing a little magic, and finding adventures that bring us together.
What's a fun fact about yourself that our community would love to know?
I'm a bulldog enthusiast. If you have a bulldog, please come find me and share photos and stories immediately.
