Welcome To MPA, Mr. Cedric Davis!

We are excited to share that Mr. Cedric Davis will be joining Mounds Park Academy as our manager of campus safety and security! Please get to know Cedric below!  From what school/organization are you coming? I am coming from Park High School.  Tell us about your education and past experience.  I have a Bachelor of Elective Studies with a focus in criminal justice from St. Cloud State University. My background includes school safety and juvenile justice. Most recently, I spent five years as a safety manager at Park High School. I also have experience as an assistant probation officer working with youth in Dakota County.

What did you find appealing about MPA?

What appealed to me about MPA was its focus on academic excellence while also helping students grow as individuals. I like the idea of working in a smaller school community where I can build meaningful relationships with students, staff, and families. I want to be more than someone who handles safety concerns. I want to be a trusted face in the building who helps students feel safe, supported.

What lasting impact do you plan to have on MPA and its students?

I would want to make a lasting impact at MPA by building strong relationships with students and staff so that everyone feels safe, supported, and comfortable coming to me. I believe safety goes beyond cameras and locked doors; it starts with trust, communication, and making sure students feel seen and heard. I want to be someone students recognize in the hallways as a positive role model who genuinely cares about them.

What’s your big dream?

My big dream is to make a lasting, positive impact on young people. I want to be someone students can trust, learn from, and feel comfortable coming to when they need help. If I can help students feel safe, believe in themselves, and reach their potential, then I feel like I’ve made a difference.

What are you passionate about?

I am very passionate about spending time with family and friends, working out, and football!
