put your MPA contact tracing on your fridge to remember the processThrough our team of medical advisors and the MPA Community Advisory Group, we have detailed and multi-pronged procedures for symptom response, contact tracing, and confirmed cases. These procedures are a cornerstone of the Back To MPA Plan. Our highly-trained contact tracing team will deploy a swift, personal, and private response that is taken through our 49-point COVID-19 response flow chart to effectively manage each step along the way. Our team will also partner and work hand-in-hand with the Minnesota Department of Health and other local officials.

In order to implement these rigorous procedures, we need families and students to partner with us. You need to notify MPA immediately at covid19tracing@moundsparkacademy.org if your …

  • student or someone in your household is experiencing COVID-19 symptoms;
  • student is a “close contact” of a confirmed COVID-19 case; and/or
  • student or someone in your household has tested positive for COVID-19.

What To Do

  • Notify MPA. Fill out your daily screening app accordingly or email covid19tracing@moundsparkacademy.org. Include who is impacted, what they are experiencing, when the symptoms or notification occurred. A highly-trained member of MPA’s contact tracing team will be in touch with you right away.
  • Follow MPA’s Recommendations. We have collectively spent hundreds of hours in training to ensure our community is safe and has peace of mind. Please diligently follow the recommendations of the contact tracing team. For example, if your student has been exposed, or is experiencing symptoms, not only should they stay home from school, but they should also not come into contact with friends or other members outside of your household. It is vitally important that the contact tracing team’s recommendations be followed.

What Not To Do

  • Go it alone. Information related to COVID-19 can be overwhelming and confusing. We have many resources including testing locations, how to keep other members of your household safe, and how to care for someone who may be experiencing COVID that we will share with you. And we will provide clear direction about what to do next.
  • Share with others. Although it may seem helpful to share information on social media, via email or text message, doing so will create confusion and anxiety, as well as hurt privacy and confidentiality for our community. MPA will handle notifications for you immediately and appropriately.
  • Keep the information to yourself or come to school anyway. It is imperative you notify MPA through the above methods immediately, prior to coming to campus. We want to keep you, your family, and every community member healthy and safe this school year, and we need your notification and cooperation to do so.

If your student or you have been exposed as a close contact of COVID-19, you will hear from the school immediately. In working with the MN Department of Health and our community advisory group, we have been commended for our proactive approach to COVID-19 symptom response and contact tracing.
