The Goetzke FamilyPeyton started school at MPA in 2020 for her Kindergarten year, and Rowen began her Kindergarten year in 2023. Ashley has worked at MPA since 2016.

What do you love about MPA?
We love MPA for many reasons, but the one that rises to the top would be the encouraging environment for Peyton. It’s been amazing how fast her teachers get to know the ins and outs of how her little mind works. The care and compassion they show to her from day one is truly special.

How does MPA inspire students who dream big and do right?
The character development that happens at MPA is so impactful. Students are not only inspired to dream big and do right, they also see it happening around them on campus. They witness this with their peers, teachers, and the older students they see in the hallway. This is the beauty of a PreK-12 campus.

What would you tell a parent considering MPA?
MPA is the school that I would have dreamed of attending growing up. We are so fortunate to have found this community. From the supportive community to the hands-on curriculum, there is so much that MPA offers.

In what ways is your child prepared for life in the 21st century?
MPA is continuously adjusting curriculum to meet the needs of the times, such as with the implementation of the new Amplify curriculum in the Lower School, the Future Cities project in the Middle School, the new BOLD innovation fund, and so much more. With these tools, teachers are able to think creatively about their curriculum. We love that teachers are given the ability to mold and adapt their classroom projects and initiatives with the times.

What do you hope for MPA students in 20 years?
In twenty years, I hope to have two graduates of MPA that are dreaming big and doing right in their own adult lives. I hope that for MPA, they continue to push the envelope of innovative teaching in the classroom and continue to truly focus on what matters–the students!

Is there anything else you’d like to share about your MPA experience?
MPA has been our home away from home for multiple years now and will continue to be for many more. We are grateful to feel so comfortable and welcomed by many. Thanks to all the MPA community members who make us feel like family.
