Deshawn Woods, A Panther Club program assistant.Welcome to MPA, Deshawn Woods! Mr. Woods joined the community as a Panther Club program assistant, and we are eager to introduce him. 

From what school/organization are you coming?
I previously worked for Saint Paul Public Schools.

Tell us about your education and past experience.
I am a first-generation college grad, master’s degree recipient, and lifelong learner. I have been serving educational institutions since 2013. I aspire to become a special education teacher with an emphasis in ASD.

What did you find appealing about MPA?
The strong sense of community. Everyone takes the time to greet and build organic relationships with each other.

What lasting impact do you plan to have on MPA and its students?
In showing my authentic self, my hope is that families, scholars, and my colleagues will gain a greater appreciation and understanding of working across different cultures.

What’s your big dream?
That more people feel seen, heard, and appreciated.

What are you passionate about?
I’m passionate about education and uplifting the community.

What’s a fun fact about you that our community would love to know?
I am the last of 12 children.
